Bask in the beauty of sunflowers with our Sunflower Memory Game and crochet pattern combo!
The nice and pretty Sunflower Memory Game is perfect to bring with you on the go, so there's always entertainment close by!
This is a NO-SEW pattern - you don't have to sew anything together, everything is crocheted together. You only have to weave in one tail for each memory game peace and a couple tails for the bag.
The pattern contains lots of pictures, diagrams, and a video showing some of the techniques used.
The small sunflowers are approx. 7 cm in diameter, and the bag is approx. 20 cm in diameter (including the yellow petals - approx. 16 cm in diameter without the yellow petals) and approx. 13 cm tall.
In the pattern, I have made 20 memory game pieces (10 sets), but you can easily make more or fewer - there is also room for more pieces in the cute sunflower bag.
Yarn
The Sunflower Memory Game is only made from the standard yarn cotton 8/4 (50 g = about 175 m), but you can use any brand of yarn you like, or any type of yarn that matches the hook size. You will need the following amounts and colors:
- Yellow: about 28 g for the memory game pieces and 6 g for the bag (about 34 g in total)
- Brown: about 27 g for the memory game pieces and 39 g for the bag (about 66 g in total)
- You will also need about 2 g of 10 different colors
You will also need
- 2 pcs wooden beads, 20 mm (You can also use any beads you like, or you can use no beads at all)
Crochet hook
2,0 mm/US size B-1
If you are used to using a different sized hook for this yarn you can do that, but it might have a small impact on the size of the finished product, and the needed amount of yarn. You can check the crochet gauge to make sure you have the right sized hook.
Crochet Gauge
10 cm wide (approximately 3.9 inches) = 16 stitches (single crochet)
If you have less than 16 stitches on 10 cm, then switch to a smaller sized hook.
If you have more than 16 stitches on 10 cm, then switch to a larger sized hook.
The following stitches are used for this pattern
